SLGS Annual Conference 2025

The Sri Lankan Geotechnical Society (SLGS) has consistently organized workshops, seminars, and conferences since its inception, catering to the industry’s demand and the geotechnical engineering community’s need to advance their knowledge.

In the past few decades, numerous deep foundation and basement construction projects have been successfully completed in Sri Lanka, with several more scheduled to commence or be completed in the near future. Throughout these projects, significant geotechnical engineering challenges were encountered, and innovative solutions were developed. The experiences gained from these projects will be invaluable for future infrastructure developments.

To share these insights, the Executive Committee of SLGS has decided to hold its 2025 Annual Conference on the theme, “Challenges in Deep Excavation and Basement Construction.” The Conference aims to provide valuable knowledge to engineers involved in similar projects, both within Sri Lanka and the broader regional geotechnical community.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. We invite your organization to nominate participants for this unique opportunity to enhance their knowledge. The registration fees are as follows:

Registration Fee: Participation in Person (Including refreshment and lunch)

Local:

SLGS Members            : LKR 4,000.00

Non-Members               : LKR 5,000.00

Foreign Participants      : USD 250
