• A total of 215 abstracts were received. Abstracts were reviewed and 185 were selected to develop technical papers.
• The submitted technical papers were then dual reviewed by a total of 51 reviewers for originality, scientific quality, clarity of presentation and significance of findings and finally 21 special papers and 116 regular papers were accepted for presentation at the conference.
• The papers have been divided among 24 session topics.
• The papers represent a good mixture of basic research, applied research and case studies.
• Approximately 75% of the papers were on soil mechanics/soil engineering and the remaining on rock mechanics/rock engineering.
• Authors from 32 countries have contributed to the conference making it a truly international conference. Conference provided an atmosphere for participants to share their novel ideas, new developments, technologies, state-of-the-art practices, and experiences.
